A lovely place surrounded by nature.

Fireflies and birdsong at night made the quiet forest setting feel special. It’s quite far in, though, and the trees and widely spaced houses leave the grounds feeling secluded, so it may not suit anyone who gets spooked easily. 😁😋 I paid 750 baht for a Friday night in a room in one of the two-story buildings. Breakfast was included. There are four such buildings, each with two rooms upstairs and two downstairs. The four separate houses cost the same, but breakfast isn’t included. The area is spacious and tree-lined, and the caretaker was very polite.

The owner welcomed us warmly when we arrived. The cabin sits among trees and farmland, with access by a one-way road. Inside, the rooms weren’t well equipped, mosquitoes were everywhere, and the power kept tripping. The wood also rattled loudly underfoot when we walked.

At night the lights stay on, which makes the place feel less scary. It’s a quiet, natural setting with trees all around, and the room had a kettle, new air conditioning, a TV, and a water heater. Phu Pha Hoi Isan viewpoint is only 18-20 km away. The kind uncle even gave me a bunch of bananas. If you’re after a peaceful, forest-like place, I’d recommend it.
