Baan Nai Soi Homestay

The resort is in a quiet, cozy part of town and has a lot of potential, but our arrival was disappointing right away. The room we’d booked was downgraded, and staff moved our luggage to another room without asking first. The bedding and surroundings felt unkempt. The owner hired only two cleaners for the whole resort, so it wasn’t well cleaned or maintained. A bit of cleanup would make a big difference.

We were surprisingly the only guests. The staff were lovely and did their absolute best, though nobody spoke English. Our spacious room had an air conditioner that didn’t work very well, and the WiFi was okay at the restaurant. It’s a beautiful small resort on the Ping River, not far from Ban Tawai, where they sell wholesale wood carvings, furniture, crafts, and artwork. Chiang Mai is about half an hour away by car.

We spent a few days away from the city here and loved this cozy Resort. The place is beautiful and well maintained, with spacious rooms and a comfortable bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed sitting on our porch and spotting birds. Highly recommend it.

Room 6 was a very good room, and the WiFi was very good too. The last four rooms, N1-N4, don’t have WiFi. The pool is refreshing, though it sits in the shade under lots of beautiful trees. There are sunny spots all day if you look for them :) We stayed four days at this beautiful, amazing hotel on the Ping river. It’s quite big, with 14 rooms. The staff work very hard and, although they don’t speak English, they’re very friendly.
