The pool was a really good size, and I liked how roomy the restroom was. Our room was a good size for two as well. The location is the best part, with the market and 7/11 within walking distance. They have the words “the happy place is here!” on the walls, and we enjoyed our stay. Recommend 👍🏻

Akard is a Thai-style resort with about 12 separate buildings, offering standard, comfort and family rooms. I booked two one-bedroom standard rooms, and both were immaculately clean. The rooms have small windows in the bedroom and bathroom, but still feel bright and airy. There's a large, spotless fridge, shiny white bedroom tiles, a flat-screen TV, and tea and coffee things that looked as good as new. The bedside socket was right where you need it, and the modern air-conditioning was quiet and effective. My Fitbit said I'd slept well, which made sense: the beds and pillows were fresh, clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also bright and clean, with a rain shower and hand shower, plenty of hot water, wrapped towels, small bottles of shampoo and shower gel, and even a spare toothbrush and shower cap. The pool is a reasonable size and sits at the end of the resort, with some privacy. There isn't breakfast, but restaurants are nearby, along with a market where you can get Pa Tong Go-Pa Tong Go for a good start to the day. Each unit has parking beside it, and there's more parking at the front. The staff member, who I suspect is the owner, was very friendly without hovering, spoke perfect English and Thai, and was on hand whenever help was needed. Akard doesn't pretend to be a five-star hotel, and if you want somewhere clean and comfortable without expecting that kind of luxury, it's ideal. Highly recommended for an overnight stay.

We liked having a pool to swim in, and there are restaurants and coffee shops nearby. The bungalows are modern, clean and quiet, right beside Sukhomvit Road.

Nice place, though the Wi-Fi is extremely slow.
