The room was clean, functional, and about 43 sqm, with comfortable bedding. Parking is available, and the sea is close, though the view from the sixth floor is cut off by nearby buildings and large trees, so you barely see the beach, sea, or islands. The pool is the biggest disappointment. The listing could make you think the ground-floor rooms have private pools, but there’s only a tiny shared one on the seventh floor, and its greenish water left me wondering about maintenance. This is a condominium rather than a hotel, and I can’t say whether short Booking stays comply with local rules. There are a few restaurants nearby, but the nearest 7-Eleven is several kilometers away. Bring what you need before check-in: there’s no food, breakfast, or drinks, just one small bottle each of soap and shampoo. I didn’t see any security during my stay. It wasn’t unpleasant, but it wasn’t especially enjoyable either. This is a basic, clean condo room with no services or atmosphere, so don’t expect anything special.

The location was just what we wanted, away from crowds and near a beach club with good food and a lovely beach. We think this is the best area in Thailand, and the prices here were excellent. We had hoped to ask about monthly rentals, but the reception experience put us off, so we went elsewhere for that. The person who greeted us seemed irritated while we got our passports out, huffing, puffing, and rolling her eyes even though nobody else was waiting. We’ve managed language barriers at the last twelve places we visited, and Google Translate helps; we smile and apologize for not speaking the local language. She also wouldn’t make eye contact when we came and went unless we spoke first. Everyone else working there was friendly, so we don’t think it was us. The condo had enough room to relax, but the kitchen was sparsely equipped. I had to wash a cup and spoon before using them, and the sponge was filthy. Cleanliness was a problem elsewhere too: the toilet was dirty around the seat, there were long black hairs on the floor, the mirror was smudged, and the shower tiles had mildew. The king bed was very comfortable, but its small comforter was awkward for two people. There was extra bedding in the closet, but after seeing the state of other things, we weren’t sure it was clean and didn’t want to use it. I wish the stay had gone differently, since this location is ideal for getting away from big city life.

For the price, the large rooms were clean and the parking was free. The location has nothing going for it. We stayed only two nights, and the balcony was unusable, covered in pigeon droppings.

You’ll want a car here, though the beach and several very good restaurants are nearby. The condo hotel is excellent value, with spacious, modern rooms, kitchen facilities, and a nice balcony in what seems to be every room, facing either the mountains or the sea. Everything was extremely clean. I also really liked the infinity pool on the seventh floor.
