The Sea Village

The facilities feel dated, and there’s no front desk or guidebook at all, which I wish they’d improve. The old air conditioner rattled, some TV channels kept cutting out, and the refrigerator was so cold it froze the milk I’d put in there by the third day. Getting groceries or reaching a convenience store on foot wasn’t realistic, so I had to call a taxi whenever I wanted to go out. I couldn’t find one easily at first, but when I asked for help, someone who seemed to be a gardener personally drove me to the nearby market. Still, this feels more like a vacation home than a hotel, with a private pool, a shared pool, and Bang Slay Beach right out front. The staff were very friendly and smiled a lot. It’s secluded and quiet, with lovely scenery, so if you’re happy to relax in one place, you may really enjoy it. If the busy, traffic-heavy downtown area has worn you out, I’d recommend staying here.

I’m thinking of staying here. It looks a little dated, but I like that it’s right next to Yupataya.
