Casa De Lipe Pool Villa

The setting was lush and tropical, with rainforest around a sheltered cove on sunset beach. We wanted somewhere quiet, and this secluded beach was just right. The white-painted villas and studios had a rustic feel, and the decks and pools were well looked after. Rooms and grounds were clean, with leaves being swept up constantly, and we got plenty of fresh bottled water each day. Staff were fantastic and welcoming, especially the bar team and the women at reception. Breakfast was basic, with two main choices, but freshly cooked and tasty. Other meals and drinks during the day were good too. We could use the kayaks whenever we wanted, and there was plenty of snorkeling gear, including life jackets in good condition. It was easy to get a taxi to Walking Street or take a nice walk along sunrise beach. A wonderful week at Casa de Lipe.

We weren’t staying at Casa de Lipe, but on 8 January my sister suddenly felt unwell while we were at the beach. The staff did everything they could to help and even called an ambulance. We really appreciated their kindness and hospitality. The facilities looked amazing too, and we’d encourage others to stay there. :)

The honeymoon suite’s ocean view was spectacular, and we loved the hotel. It’s a lovely choice if you want to unwind and take in beautiful scenery. We’ll be back!

We came for a few days on the island’s sunset side. It’s quieter than the sunrise side, but a good spot for kayaking and snorkeling. From there, you can walk downhill to the beach and continue to Walking Street, a pleasant 20-minute stroll. Breakfast came with a choice of two options, Western or Asian. We had a wonderful stay.
