The owner was so kind and made us breakfast each morning. It’s a lovely place to unwind, with a really beautiful garden.

It’s an okay place, but there’s not much nearby. Once you’ve checked in, you’re pretty much on your own.

We ended up staying longer because we liked the atmosphere so much. Our first night was in a private bungalow by the parking area, for 700 baht. It had balconies at both the front and back, which was great. The next night I moved to a different bungalow, with the whole second floor to myself and a big balcony, for 1200 baht. It’s a lovely guesthouse right by the river, with parking, a tasteful, cute design, and chairs and tables dotted around the grounds where you can sit and relax. Thai pop music played softly during the day. There’s playground equipment for kids, and a cafe where you can get lunch. The owners are a kind Thai couple, and all the other guests during our stay were Thai. We drove from Bangkok in a rental car, a trip of about two and a half hours, to visit Amphawa Floating Market and Maeklong Market. Both markets are just over ten minutes away by car. For dinner, there’s a noodle shop near the 7-Eleven, plus a Thai izakaya next door that stays open until 2 AM. The plumbing could use some work, but it was still a fantastic stay. Apparently, not many Japanese people come here. I’d like to spend about a week here next time.

There are lots of lovely spots for photos, and at night you can even see fireflies. It’s a riverside cafe, coffee shop, restaurant, and homestay, with a peaceful atmosphere. You can order Thai-style hot pot to cook on their BBQ grill, which sounds especially fun with a group of 4-5 friends. The entrance is a little hard to spot, but everything else is excellent.

It felt a bit like being at home, with bread and coffee provided. The owner is lovely, polite, and genuinely kind. The place is quiet, peaceful, clean, and safe, and there’s a dining area beside the Mae Klong River.
