We got an unexpected pickup from the ferry port, and they also gave us a lift back when we left, which we appreciated. The breakfast buffet was among the best we had because the food was actually hot. Our room in the Garden was nice, but reaching it meant climbing 96 steep steps. It’s not suitable for anyone with limited mobility.

The fresh-cut fruit at breakfast was amazing, and the espresso machine was a great way to start the day. The place was clean, the staff were so sweet, and it was very kid-friendly. I still can’t see why it isn’t busier. Just 20 steps from your bungalow and you’re on the prettiest beach in the world. We had no warm water in our bungalow, though we didn’t ask anyone to fix it. Mosquitoes got me badly at night, even though the room came with a generous bottle of spray. The Wi-Fi wasn’t great either, but a data SIM from 7-Eleven fixed that. My expectations were blown away. This place is the BEST.

The staff were great and really kind. The place is old but clean, though the shower in my room should have been replaced some time ago. Renewing a few parts could make it an amazing place.

The staff were very helpful and the location was good, with free beach services. The bungalows were a bit spartan and not very clean, and we found a few small animals in the room, but nothing too dramatic. It wasn’t great value for money, as it was too expensive. Breakfast was mostly Asian and felt like a bit much for Westerners first thing in the morning. They don’t serve alcohol.
