Metro Palace Satun

The shared area beside reception was a lovely place to sit under cover, catch the breeze, and hang out with the cats. One cat lives there, and a few others seem to visit from the neighborhood. They were all adorable. The room and bathroom were spacious and impeccably clean. The A/C seemed new, with no musty smell, and the shower had good pressure and nice hot water, plus shampoo and body soap dispensers. There’s a charming night market nearby. The town felt safe, with lots of children around and public facilities that seemed well managed. Satun itself turned out to be a charming town, and the hotel’s hospitality was absolutely perfect. We only meant to stay one night after missing the ferry to Langkawi because of a terrible travel agency, but we wished we could have stayed longer. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout.

A perfect one-night stop before our ferry to Langkawi. Our room was clean and spacious, and it stayed pleasantly cool despite having no A/C. It was very quiet too. The lovely staff helped us book a taxi and reminded us to sort out our Malaysia digital visa. There’s a 711 and some good restaurants nearby.

The staff were so nice. We asked about a taxi to the pier, and the next morning they took us there for 200baht for two people. I stayed one night, and it’d be good for a short visit of one to three nights. The room was clean, had a fan, and the bed was great. The toilet had no ceiling, which was funny. There’s a night market nearby, plus KFC, other restaurants, and two 7/11s.
