Swankaburi Boutique Hotel

We stay here fairly often, but last time the hot water stopped working. I asked for help and was told to wait a while, without anyone checking it. After 15-20 minutes, it still wasn’t working. We’ve decided not to stay here on our next trip.

The lobby smelled foul when I walked in, and the room they showed me was dusty, dirty, and had cobwebs and cracks in the walls. I figured I could manage for one night, but then I saw a big roach and dipped. It’s expensive for what it is, and the AC wasn’t blowing cold either.

We stayed here on September 4, 2018. From outside, the place isn’t very noticeable, but once inside it invites you to be fascinated. The room was spacious and comfortable, done in a classic Thai style with dark, real wood furniture. My parents were comfortable too. Breakfast in the back garden was good, and the atmosphere and price were good as well. It’s close to the community.

The town is quiet, clean, and closes down early. My Thai wife was really impressed by how clean it was when we walked out for dinner. It’s not a hip party town, so it won’t suit you if that’s what you’re after. For a peaceful, clean stay at a great price, though, this place is near perfect. The hotel cost 600 baht and had unique traditional Thai decor, great staff, and a cute little garden. I’ve lived in Thailand for 12 years, and it may be the best 600 baht, 3 star hotel I’ve stayed in. The bed was comfortable and the Wi-Fi was super fast. There was no hot water pot in the room, but there was one in the lobby. The free breakfast was traditional Thai Jok rice soup, which was delicious, plus some toast options. Definitely saving it to my favorites.
