The Chic 101 Hotel

The food was a highlight, especially the steaks, and the restaurant has plenty of food and drink choices. There’s an adventure pool along with a few smaller pools for kids. Roi-et is a bit of a drive, but the trip is worth it. Wi-Fi was tricky to use because the signal was weak. I’d recommend this hotel anytime.

Breakfast felt like a joke for the BKK room rates, just rice soup served on paper plates. The VIP room also had poor upkeep: bugs came through gaps around the windows and doors, and the hot tub was nice but there wasn’t hot water to fill it. The air conditioning was noisy throughout the stay, and the room was next to the elevator, so its noise carried in too. Reception staff were unfriendly and badly need customer service training, including learning to smile.

Really amazing place in ROI IT. The only thing missing from the rooms was a coffee machine. I’ll definitely book there again.

I booked here because Chic 101 claims to be a no smoking hotel, but this was the second time in my four day stay that cigarette smoke filled my room and made my eyes burn. There was no warning about a Beer Garden and Rock Concert being set up for tonight. When I told reception I couldn’t sleep, they said it would go on until 1am. It was so loud that you had to put your fingers in your ears to get near it. After I couldn’t sleep, I looked down from my room and saw an overflowing ashtray beside the pool on the ground floor. Management had left the cigarette butts there. The General Manager said smoking carries a 2,000 baht fine, but they haven’t enforced the advertised policy, and I’m the one suffering.
