The owner is lovely and very friendly. Rooms are clean, and the service is excellent. Having food service, a café out front and shops there is really convenient.

The next room kept playing music loudly from around 7 PM, when I checked in, right through until morning. The caretaker did nothing about it.

Hmm, this is the hotel where I stayed during graduation rehearsal, together with my ex, who I've since broken up with. That memory is one I'll never forget. I was awake all night because of it.
