Unity Hotel

I'd rate the room about 6/10, mostly because it's new. As a hotel, maybe 4/10. It's really a serviced room in a small block, with no hotel services or facilities. The building sits on a concrete apron covering the whole property. The room itself is bright and clean, with a small bathroom at one end and a small, noisy fridge in the wardrobe unit. Taking the key tab out when you leave cuts power to everything, fridge included. Apart from a fire escape plan on the wall, I saw no other guest safety features. The entry door is a standard domestic one, perhaps not fireproof, and the whole fit-out feels domestic. There's only a small glass shelf in the bathroom for toiletries. Lots of power points, separate electricity meters, and thin walls without noise reduction all suggest this wasn't built or fitted out as a commercial hotel. It seems more suited to monthly rentals. The railway is close, so you hear every train pass, day and night. Just after 6 a.m., public speakers outside also broadcast propaganda for an hour. The location is in the back end of town, with few nearby facilities and only basic places to eat. Unless you're fine with 7 eleven food, you'll need to go elsewhere. There's little reason to come to this area unless you're staying here.

I only stayed one night, arriving late and leaving early, so I can't say a lot. The room was clean, roomy, and comfortable, and the location was very good. The girl at check-in was lovely and polite.

No lift, and the stairs are steep, so you need to be in good shape. It's a typical two-star Thai hotel, with decent beds and everything working well.

Really good hotel. The rooms were large, bright, and clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I'd definitely recommend it.
