BP Samila Beach Hotel & Resort

The location and beach view from our room made this a great stay for my family. There’s a bathtub in the room, a swimming pool at the hotel, and a nearby market with food and other things around. My kids were really happy here. I’d recommend it for families with small children. Give it a try.

The view and location are nice, and it still has the feel of the fancy hotel it may have been in the 80s. But our room was pretty moldy and breakfast wasn’t great. It was okay, though a bit pricey for what we got.

The staff were wonderful and did what they could with what they had, but the hotel feels neglected. The rooms are spacious and have lovely views, yet they’re tired and need work. Breakfast had variety, but it wasn’t refreshed often enough, and the eggs looked sad after sitting out. I couldn’t swim because the pool needs cleaning and attention, which was disappointing. The location is really good and the views are wonderful, so this colonial hotel has real potential. With money for a renovation, it could become one of Thailand’s best hotels. I hope a company sees that one day, but I won’t book again until then.

The sea view over Samila Beach and the breakfast were the highlights for me, and the stay felt well worth the money. The rooms might look dated, though they’ve been refurbished recently. The air conditioning was impressive and kept things really cold throughout my stay.
