La Maison - Chiangmai

We only wish we could have stayed longer. We’ve travelled all over South East Asia, and La Maison has a special place in our journey. It’s less than an hour from Chiang Mai, a lovely place to get away from the main route, unwind in nature, and explore on carefully planned day trips. The owners want you to fall in love with the North as much as they have, and their care shows throughout the stay. They’ve made a home away from home, with beautiful, spacious gardens, a pool to cool off in the midday heat, and fireflies lighting up the sky in the evening. Each room has its own personality, and the whole place feels warm and welcoming. We found real relaxation there. The French touch comes through in the breakfasts, with fresh butter, delicious bread, local honey and fruit, and in the dinners made with local ingredients, which let us try the real flavors of Thailand. It’s a unique chance to experience the country’s authentic beauty and culture. If you’re passing through Northern Thailand, you must stop at this peaceful haven and see its magical beauty for yourself.

A peaceful place about 30 minutes from Chiang Mai, close to waterfalls and elephant sanctuaries. The traditional Lanna houses sit in a lush garden by a lake. The interiors are beautiful, the mattresses are firm, and the food is good.

We loved every moment at La Maison, a wonderful place to disappear for a while. Thank you for being so hospitable and for sharing your knowledge about elephants. We can highly recommend the local excursions too. Merci beaucoup🙏🫶

Just 45 minutes from chiang mai, this place has a unique feel. If you’re looking for simplicity and authenticity, it’s definitely worth visiting. It feels like « home », like « maison » in French!!!
