Baan Rai Rhim Tarn

It’s a small, beautiful resort where you can get away from pollution and traffic noise. Staying there left me feeling peaceful inside. I’d strongly recommend it if you like quiet places.

There’s a local market nearby, and the garden and waterfall are pleasant. The waterfall area could use some attention.

The grounds are shady and natural, and the staff member who helped us was lovely, attentive, helpful, and polite. The water wasn’t very clean, but that seemed acceptable for this location. My experience with the owner was upsetting. I know long holidays bring lots of guests and people get tired, but after I returned the key at checkout, I waited and asked whether I needed to stay for a room check. I was helping my mother move things from another room, and the stairs were quite steep. The owner came back frowning and said she didn’t really want to check, but wanted to make sure nothing was broken without my telling her. I snapped back, asking if I looked like someone who would damage something and keep quiet about it. I’d kept the room clean and put all the trash outside, yet felt she had a negative view of me. If you’re planning to visit, don’t expect much service from the owner or you may be disappointed, as I was. Maybe you’ll be lucky enough to meet her smiling.
