Rai Phurak Resort

The rice porridge at breakfast was tasty, though there was very little ground pork; they also had boiled eggs, coffee, and Ovaltine. The location felt remote, dark, and deserted at night. The river view is beautiful, but the place badly needs maintenance, and only one person seems to be looking after it. My room was dusty and hard to sleep in, the bathroom hadn't been cleaned and had cobwebs on the walls, and the TV wouldn't turn on. For the service, the price felt too high.

The bread at breakfast was past its expiry date. A child who wanted some told the cook, but instead of apologizing to the guests, the cook made excuses and said to someone else that it was only three days old. That wasn't acceptable, regardless of how long it had been expired. We had paid for the booking, and this part of the business needs improvement.

The room wasn't very old, but it was quite dirty. There was gecko droppings all over, and dust on both the floor and bed. The air conditioner wasn't clean either. At 1,800 baht a night, what I got was far too much for the price.

The shared pool was cloudy and smelled bad, while the private pool was dusty and dirty. The bedroom had insects, the shower was broken, and the place was cramped and filthy. Breakfast was just rice porridge, and the dining area smelled musty too. It was my first and last stay. Disgusting, and not worth what I paid.
