Villa Tuscany Country Resort

We just walked in and got a lovely, spacious room in one of the standalone villas. The front desk lady was so friendly and polite, and showed us the different rooms. The hotel is along the main street, only a couple of minutes by car from restaurants and convenience stores, but inside the grounds it's peaceful and quiet. The garden is full of greenery, and you can hear birds chirping. Our room was huge, clean, and spacious, with a big soft bed and really nice, soft sheets. They provided water and a kettle. Breakfast was great too, especially the soothing, delicious porridge. I'd definitely stay here again when I'm back in Suan Phueng.

For under 1,000 baht, it was fine for the price. The grounds were nice, and the bed was comfortable. I stayed in a standard room, which was basic; they do have larger suites. The bathroom had a lot of black mold, and the internet kept cutting in and out.

The rooms, venue, and furnishings were all nice. There are outdoor tables and stools by most entrances, though the stools aren't comfortable for long since they have no backs. At night there are lots of mosquitoes outside, so shut the door quickly when going in or out. There aren't lunch meals, and dinner is only available as Thai-style hotpot. Breakfast has four options. I tried two: the American breakfast was the usual basic Thai hotel version, a little above average, while the salmon steak breakfast was great and easily the best of the four.

For the price, the villa is very good, and the breakfast buffet is adequate. The resort is small, though, so people often walk right outside your window and privacy suffers. Being near the main road is convenient if you don't have your own transport, but you can hear the cars and young people on their distasteful big bikes. All in all, given the price, I can't complain too much.
