Happy Guesthouse Bungalow

There’s a sweet black cat on the property that loves getting attention. We stayed in a bungalow with a patio, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The only downside was the chickens and roosters nearby, which woke us every morning at 4 a.m.

The manager didn’t speak as much English as other hostel managers we’ve met, but he still sorted out everything we needed. We’d booked bus tickets and a Tuk Tuk ride from the bus terminal to the guesthouse through a “travel agent” in Bangkok, and he helped with it all. The rooms were clean, and the AC was worth the $13CAD. It’s near the Night market, which was smaller than we expected in the off season, and the main road where you can catch a bus to Sukhothai Historical Park.

The garden and patio were such nice spots to unwind, and the free bikes made it easy to get around the city. We stayed in a tidy little bungalow with airco and nice facilities. The straydogs two streets over are friendly, although they look a bit scary and bark a lot. If you’re coming back late, it’s better to take a bycicle.

Brilliant bungalow with AC and a fridge, plus a great pool and friendly staff. It’s an ideal spot for getting around this area, and great value too. Really nice atmosphere.
