Old City Boutique House

The breakfast was simple, which was fine since I wasn’t looking for anything fancy in Sukothai. I spent the days exploring the ruins and the evenings at the night market and food stalls. The place was neat, well maintained, and good value. I slept peacefully both nights, and the Wi-Fi was reliable, though I barely needed it.

The staff were helpful with my bus questions, and communicating through a translator app was easy. The location is handy, with evening markets, the historical park, and a 7-11 all very close. The place looks quite new, and we slept well in the quiet. Our room was spacious, functional, and really clean, and it was nice to have a proper blanket. There was coffee, bread, jam, and a few other goodies each morning. We’d definitely stay again if we pass through.

We paid THB 500/n in Aug'24, and for us this ended up being the best value stay of our whole trip. The nearby night food market around the lake / pond is a must experience. The big advantage is the location close to the historical park, with almost everything else reachable on foot too. Our room was spacious, bright, and clean, and the property was tidy, well managed, and welcoming. I liked its simplicity. There aren’t many staff, which makes sense, but they’re available and helpful. I’d easily recommend it for different kinds of tourists and trips.

I checked out at noon but could leave my luggage there and shower in the evening before catching my night bus. The woman who owns and runs the place was quiet and very accommodating. She also told me where to get my onward bus ticket and rent a bike. The location is excellent. The rooms are modern, clean, and roomy, with lovely decor and wooden furniture in the shared spaces. Guests can help themselves to tea, coffee, toast, jam, and little biscuits at breakfast.
