Sriwilai Sukhothai Resort & Spa

We really enjoyed the breakfast by the garden while the weather was nice. There’s a good mix of Thai and international food, and the swimming pool was spotless and beautiful. The staff were friendly, helpful, and well mannered, and my spa treatment was so relaxing. The property is a little old, but quite clean. Sriwilai is within walking distance of Sukhothai Historical Park, if you don’t mind the extreme heat.

We were warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived, and the staff kept being attentive and friendly, going out of their way to make the stay special. The spacious rooms were comfortable and beautifully maintained. We loved the resort’s magnificent traditional architecture and the charming pagoda, and the pool was always at a perfect temperature. Food was excellent, and breakfast had an incredible variety with something for everyone. The hotel’s complimentary bicycles also made it easy and enjoyable to explore the area and historical ruins. We had a fantastic stay at Sriwilai Sukhothai and will definitely return.

The grounds are beautiful, and the hotel is affordable and gives you what you need for a few nights. I wouldn’t call it a vacation resort for a two-week stay. The rooms are spacious and clean, with good beds and bedding, and the setting is lovely. There are mosquitoes, but it isn’t terribly bad. In a tropical resort with gardens and a lake, insects are to be expected. Breakfast was fresh and practical, not Four Seasons standard, but good. The staff were kind and helpful, and there’s free parking on the premises.

The setting is lovely and peaceful, with a scenic pond, large pool, lush flowers and trees, and plenty of birds. The bar and front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms and amenities, though, felt a bit worn and not especially fresh. I was disappointed by the spa: the Thai massage wasn’t good and cost significantly too much. They provide bottled water in the room, but charge for extra refills, which seems unusual for a hotel at this level. The stay was fine, but uneven. The grounds are a real strength, while some other parts need work.
