Sukhothai Chalet

The breakfast was a real highlight, with lots of fresh Thai dishes. Saeweng made the stay feel like a home away from home and was happy to help with anything, even sorting out a bus ticket and offering us a lift into town. The rooms are simple but comfortable, though the bed is very firm. It’s quiet here, away from town but close to the sights, and bikes are provided. It took about 5-10 minutes to cycle to town, the main Historical site, and the North site. Sukhothai is lovely to visit, and staying here made it extra special.

Saweng and his wife made us feel so welcome, and breakfast is included with everyone eating together. Saweng had great recommendations and even drove us to the bus stop in town the morning we left. The chalet is a great base for temples and ruins, about a five-minute cycle from the main ruin area, and free bike hire makes getting around the historical area easy. The rooms are basic but just right, with private bathrooms and comfortable beds. Thanks so much for a lovely stay! Alfie and Rosie :)

The rooms are very simple, but being surrounded by nature more than makes up for that. We stayed for two nights, and the location right in Sukhothai National Park was excellent. The hosts were extremely kind and took us by tuk-tuk to the night market. Breakfast was delicious.

The location worked really well, with the centre and historical sites about 10 minutes away by bicycle or five minutes by motorbike. It’s a very quiet place, and the owners are friendly. Our room and bed were fine, and the air conditioning was powerful, which you need in hot Sukhothai. Breakfast was included and good. Thanks again for a very nice stay at Sukhothai Chalet.
