I found a room listed as available and booked it at 21:56. Booking said check-in was open until 23:00, and I messaged the property to say we were no more than 20 minutes away. When we got there, the place was locked and nobody was around, so we couldn't check in. I tried every way I could to reach them, with no luck. The owner still hasn't replied or confirmed my cancellation request.

The Boat House Marina is wonderfully peaceful, and the people running it are lovely. It’s a great fit for couples or families who like quiet places. The view is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food is delicious. Definitely worth a try.

The location is so peaceful, and the room was clean and comfortable. A lovely place to stop for a night or two, taking in the spectacular river view with a cup of tea or whatever you fancy ☺️

We stayed in the River lodge for three nights. Its kitchen was well equipped, and the place was clean and comfortable. The food was lovely, with both Western and Thai choices. Steve and his Wife Ore were great hosts. Would recommend.

Steve, the owner, kindly picked me up from surathanni Airport and took me to the koh Samui ferry when I left. I had a lovely two-night stay, with great food, welcoming hosts, and a beautiful spot by the river. I’ll be back!
