A few restaurants are nearby, and there's a 7-11 and a lotus’s just a minute away. Lamphu park is a pleasant five-minute walk, and the centre is another 10-15 mins over the bridge. This isn't really a sightseeing town, though it has some nice temples and river walks. We'd definitely stay again. The hotel has everything we needed, with lots of parking, a clean swimming pool, friendly staff, and large, clean, modern rooms with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast had a good range of choices, but almost all the hot food was cold and would be better warmer. The balcony is tiny and barely usable, though it's handy for hanging washing to dry. If you're after a boutique style hotel in the centre of town, this isn't the place.

The price for what you get was among the best on my Thailand trip. I stayed one night while travelling from Bangkok to Koh Samui, and the hotel was very nice. Rooms are spacious, breakfast was delicious with plenty of Western and Thai options, and there's a nice pool and a small fitness room. Staff generally spoke decent English. The large parking lot out front is useful if you're travelling by car. The location is convenient too, near Lamphu island and its park for walks or exercise, and just across the river bridge from the historic centre, with temples, shrines, a riverside promenade, and night market. The window view wasn't great, and the fitness room was a little tired, but those were about the only negatives. Definitely recommend it.

The team made our stay feel warm and welcoming. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and caring, and we really appreciated the whole staff's outstanding service. The hotel was spotless and well kept, in a great spot near one of Surat Thani's best walking parks. We were very happy with our experience.

We only stayed one night before taking the boat to Koh Tao the next day. The room's location was generally fine, but it wasn't fully clean and there were ants in the bathroom. It worked for a single night, though I wouldn't choose to stay longer.
