The Banana Cabins

The dorm was a much more comfortable option, with air conditioning, a clean shared bathroom, and lockers, so we asked to move there right away. We'd booked the little banana hut, but it was tiny, with a mattress on the floor and barely enough room to stand beside it. There was nowhere for our bags and no furniture. It had only a fan and a mosquito net over an uncomfortable bed with holes, and bugs got in through the unsealed walls. The bathroom for the hut was behind the main building, old, dirty, and full of bugs. Breakfast was included, just a hard-boiled egg and toast to eat outside, with no kitchen area. We liked being able to borrow bicycles, even though they were a bit broken but still worked. The host was nice but spoke very little English. There isn't much nearby except a small Thai village about 10 minutes away by bike. It's not tourist-friendly, though the people are really nice.
