Our biggest frustration was the shower, which kept swinging from scalding hot to cold. We had to step out of the water and adjust the tap every minute. Fine if you like cold showers, I guess. The bar floor was also clearly broken, with holes and no warning or barrier, so it would be easy to twist an ankle. I think management should repair it or close the area. The sixth-floor rooftop looks ready for a bar or private party, but it isn't being used, apparently due to too few guests and staff. My wife and I arrived without a booking and got great service. Our room on the fifth floor was comfortable, though the river view wasn't picturesque. The lift requires a keycard, which is good for security. Basement parking for bikes and cars seemed safe, but might not be enough when the hotel is busy. There was no security staff, so I could be wrong about how safe it is. Each floor has a balcony at the western end, where you can smoke or look at city life below, though it gets very hot on that sunny side.

A decent place for a night or two while passing through on the way to a nearby island. The rooms are adequate and the location works well.

Getting a room at 6 a.m. was a real help after our ferry arrived at 5 a.m. The location is great, right beside the Saturday Night Market, and the staff were friendly. Everything was clean and comfortable, though a grey concrete wall stood in front of the large window. Breakfast wasn't very good, but it was very cheap. We had a pleasant stay.

A handy hotel in Surat Thani town, with a strategic location and spacious, clean rooms. Check-in and checkout were easy, and car parking is in the basement.
