Comet Hotel Surat Thani

For a short business or conference visit, I can recommend it for one night. The staff gave us a great welcome, the lobby is modern, and the rooms are a good size. There are excellent restaurants across the road and farther along, though the hotel feels a bit isolated and you may want to use Grab to get around. We booked a few nights because of the pool, but the owners have let it get to the point where I could only use it for about 15 minutes. There’s no shade, and the only seating is a concrete bench with old, cracked, torn cushions. It gets baking hot up there. The pool area could be much nicer with little effort, which is a shame given the good rooms and staff.

The beds were the best I’ve ever slept in. Our family room was really clean, and we stayed two nights. Booking was easy because the staff were so helpful, and they even contacted me the day before to confirm. The pool was nice, though the atmosphere around it could be better. Parking was convenient, with a restaurant and 7/11 opposite. Great stay, and we’ll be back!

The rooms were neat and clean, and surprisingly comfortable. It was quiet and had a relaxing feel. The staff were kind and helpful, all for a very fair price. If you're nearby, don't bother looking elsewhere. Warmly recommended.
