Surintara Resort

A simple, good-value place. The rooms are basic but clean and functional, and each one has covered parking right outside. It's on a small, quiet street a little away from the city center. No complaints from me, this'll be my hotel in Surin.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but you really need a car or taxi to get anywhere unless you're willing to risk a dog bite. The staff speak Thai and only a little English. The restaurant serves dinner only.

Agoda came to 350 plus VAT, or 450Baht, with no breakfast. Just so-so. The room had two large towels, two pillows, a fridge, two cups, two bottles of water, two chairs, one table, and the air-con was okay. The TV was broken. The shower was warm, and there was thick soap but no other toiletries. No hairdryer, teapot, or snacks. There were several stray dogs. Parking was good, and trucks or tourist buses could park there too. The walls are thin, so you can hear dogs barking, people snoring, and doors closing. There's an eating room for small seminars, up to 20 people. It's far from places and too lonely to walk anywhere nearby.

A small, quiet resort in Surin province for anyone looking for a peaceful place to rest. It has parking, air conditioning, breakfast, and a toilet in the room.
