We booked 4 nights at Hapla Beach Cottage, and on our first day I already wished we'd stayed longer. I could happily spend a whole week there. It's far away from everything, which is actually one of its greatest strengths. It has charming, comfortable, very clean cottages, delicious food, relaxing massages and a lovely place to unwind. Photos don't capture even half its beauty or atmosphere. The owners and staff were so kind, helpful and polite that we didn't have to worry about anything. We were picked up from the ferry, and when we wanted to go to the shop, renting a scooter was easy. Payment is cash only, but there's an ATM right by the ferry, so it wasn't a problem. Time moves differently there, and you can really relax and disconnect. Thank you for the experience. It was the most wonderful place I've ever stayed.

Their family-owned restaurant is a relaxed, rustic place right on the sand, with good food, capable management and spectacular sunsets. We brought our own wine and found the corkage reasonable. It may be the island's best place to eat, so expect prices to reflect that. Don't miss it when you're visiting the island.

Hapla Beach Cottage is easy to spot, with little signs all over the island. There are only ten bungalows, spread across a wide, cosy area, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The staff are the friendliest, the food is outstanding, and the rooms are comfortable with beds that make for a good night's sleep. I did miss having air-conditioning, but that's the concept here, and there's a good working fan instead. Strongly recommended. I'd gladly come again.

We first came a year ago, but our stay was sadly too short. This time we spent almost 2 weeks here and loved it all. It feels like the countryside, with a wonderful garden, forest and an amazing, seemingly endless empty beach. The food is delicious, and our hosts Nong and Sai are the very best. They've created a beautiful paradise at Hapla Beach ❤️❤️❤️

We dropped in one afternoon for a bite and some time on the beach. It's peaceful, a lovely place to relax and unwind. The food and drinks were delicious, staff friendly and helpful, and everything came very quickly. Prices are a little higher than at other places on the island, but that's understandable given the location.
