Hotel Gahn Khao Lak

The pool was spotless, the rooms gorgeous, and the bed was enormous and more comfortable than ours at home. A huge bathtub was another highlight, and we could angle it toward the TV, which felt magical. We even had Netflix and watched Physical: Asia during our stay. Hotel Gahn is easily the best place we stayed in Thailand. It's stylish and modern, a dream for anyone who likes architecture or interior design. A local Phuket studio designed it, and every detail is a treat to look at. Staff were so smiley, helpful and welcoming, and from the moment we arrived we felt cared for. The food is delicious, and the restaurant has held a Michelin star for five years in a row. Even with all that, the hotel is very fairly priced and surprisingly good value. Breakfast was amazing too, with the widest variety of options and delicious espresso drinks, apple, lychee, orange, lots of matcha, everything was lovely. Highly, highly recommended.

The restaurant was a real surprise, we loved the flavor of everything we tried. We were just as happy with the room, too: the bed, design, and breakfast were all so thoughtfully done, and it was incredibly comfortable. My husband and I are really glad we found this hotel. Don't pass up the chance to stay here!

A small, charming spot right on the main road, with Bang Niangh market only a few minutes away on foot and plenty of other amenities nearby. The staff were warm and couldn't have been more helpful. Definitely worth a visit.

The owner's personality seems to run through every part of the building. She spoke graciously with us about the food, the hotel, and her family's history, which made the stay feel especially personal. We loved the design and the food, too. The beach is a short walk away, yet the place feels far removed from the area's more generic, large resorts. Such a special stay, well worth the trip.
