The rooms were attractive, comfortable, and well equipped, and the hotel's mobile app made it easy to contact staff. The shared areas were beautifully kept, the atmosphere was welcoming, and the staff were consistently friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a real highlight, with fresh, delicious choices each morning. The damp smell in the rooms was the biggest problem. Over our two-week stay, we changed rooms three times in different parts of the resort because of it. We eventually stayed in the least bad one, but after getting home we had to wash all our belongings, including clothes and bags, thoroughly. At this price, that was simply unacceptable, and we won't return. The spa also fell short. The massages were very average, so I'd look for treatments outside the hotel.

The hotel was amazing, and the balcony in our room, which I think was 3342, was spacious and really nice. The cleaners were efficient and proactive. There were lots of different pools to choose from, and Kokulo beach club on the seafront served very good meals and cocktails. Breakfast had a wide range of food, from traditional Western dishes to East and Southeast Asian cuisine. All the hotel staff were friendly. Receptionist Pang kindly took my photos at the viewpoint, and I'd really appreciate it if she happened to read this! I forgot to write this earlier: we stayed at La Vela from 17th October 2025 to 30th October 2025, flying Emirates from Manchester via Dubai to Phuket. One of the best hotels and holidays I've had so far.

We had a really comfortable, relaxing two-night stay and would definitely come back. The resort felt peaceful and uncrowded, with lush greenery, lovely beach access, and beautiful sunsets. Our spacious, stylish room looked out over the pool and palm trees. Breakfast was very good, and we especially enjoyed dinner at the beachfront restaurant, with delicious food at a reasonable price. The spa treatment was incredibly relaxing too. Highly recommended 🤍🌴

The staff made us feel very welcome, especially Amp, Jane (the lovely Filipino girl, I hope I got your name right!), and Mae, our cleaner. The resort was beautiful and well maintained, with several pools, including some adults-only ones that were great for a peaceful break. We were in a Sea View Deluxe Room on level 3 at La Vela Resort. The view didn't quite match the website photos, as only the top floor has panoramic views, but the rest of the stay was excellent. Breakfast had loads of delicious choices. The room had comfortable beds, a huge bath on the balcony (not a spa), and a great shower with three settings that almost felt like a spa. The smart TV wasn't HD, which would've been a nice extra. We had a very enjoyable stay.

Waking up and stepping onto the balcony to see the clear blue pool shimmering below was so relaxing, like being in a travel film. The hotel is beautiful, and Khao Lak, Thailand had amazing weather, with warm sun and a gentle sea breeze. I really loved it and highly recommend it.
