The ladies working there were lovely. They even drove us to the waterfalls and kept our bags for free while we were out. We only had one night at Naphatphorn resort, so we missed our chance to kayak, but dinner was good and breakfast had plenty to choose from. It’s a quiet spot with a great river view, and the rooms are simple but very clean. We followed the recommendation to stay here and were glad we did.

The staff were very friendly, and our room was clean when we arrived, though it wasn’t cleaned each day. The river view is lovely, but that’s about the main draw. The bungalows feel dated, and noise from the road behind them and the air conditioners kept the place from being very quiet. During our two days there, the water supply failed once, and breakfast was a bad joke. If you’re coming by bus, arrive before 2 pm, since it gets very crowded with school students later. Don’t expect too much.

The three women who run the place are absolute gems, so warm and welcoming that we felt at home. It’s a quiet, simple stay surrounded by nature, with the river right there. Breakfast is served on site, and for dinner they can order from a large Thai menu at a nearby place. We could take a boat along the river or borrow a scooter to go into town at no extra cost. The A/C worked perfectly, and Erawan National Park is only a 15-20 minute drive away.

We slept really well, even though the room can rock a little when there are waves. It floats right on the Kwai river, so that’s part of the experience, and the view is mesmerizing. You can jump straight into the water from your room, and a kayak is included, parked just outside. The setting is amazing and the staff were kind and helpful. The fixtures aren’t as refined as in a hotel room, but the shower and AC caused us no problems. Well worth the trip.

The charming host and the option to rent a motor cycle were big pluses. We spent two nights on a raft, with the water right outside our door, and took a paddle boat for a short trip along the coast. The breakfast was basic, and there wasn’t much furniture in the room, so I’d give it four stars.
