Z9 Resort

The atmosphere was upscale without feeling pretentious, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly. It was wonderful to relax in a private floating room at this resort on the water. Our only regret is booking just one night before moving to another River Kwai resort. The next place was nice, but its ambience and experience couldn't compare with Z9. We wish we'd stayed both nights here and will definitely return for longer.

The service team is small but very efficient. We stayed in the north escape deluxe room, which was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. Even though it's on a raft, we barely felt it move. It's a serene spot with panoramic lake and dam views, well suited to anyone looking to avoid busy crowds. Getting to Erawan waterfall takes at least a 30-minute drive through the hills.

A really pretty, relaxing place with a view that looks like a postcard. We had fun using the free kayaks and SUP. The main downside is the distance, about a 3-4 hour drive from Bangkok. Still, it's a lovely spot to chill and unwind.

The staff gave us a warm welcome, and the weather was nice at this time of year. The room had a great view, and we could use kayaks and a surfboard for free. Breakfast was excellent, and the place has a great vibe. My one disappointment was the standard room in the south area, where the TV wasn't smart and had neither Netflix nor YouTube. You get that in the north area if you pay more for a room. I hope to come back next time.
