Having a corner room made a big difference: with windows on both sides open, a nice breeze came through, and I had a view of the canal behind the apartment. My 36 sq.m room was fully furnished, and for an extra 500 Baht a month I added the appliances package with a 32 inch LCD TV, microwave and fridge. The free WiFi was super fast, so YouTube and live streaming worked perfectly. Pavaplace is close to Walailak University in Nakhon Si Thammarat, and I found it on my way there. It’s about a two minute walk to 7-11, with plenty of restaurants nearby. There’s an elevator, which I’m pretty sure only this place and one other establishment have. Coin operated laundry machines are on every floor, and there’s covered parking for cars and scooters. Security is standard for the area, with keycard entry, CCTV and guards. I’m very happy here and feel I chose the right place for my time at the university.

When I moved out, they charged me 3,000 baht for electricity, even though I’ve never had a bill above 1,300. It was clearly a mistake, but they wouldn’t help. I only got 2,000 baht back from my 6,000 baht deposit.
