Arinara Beach Resort Phuket

We had a lovely week here as a family of three. The hotel is right on the beach, with stunning sunsets, and the large pools include a shallow splash area for toddlers. There are sunbeds and a swim-up bar too. For kids, there’s an outdoor play area, an indoor ball pit, a pool table, and a small kids’ club room. The beds were a bit hard and some parts of the hotel could use updates, but that didn’t spoil our stay. We really enjoyed it and will definitely return. The rooms were large and clean, and the staff were lovely and helpful. The buffet breakfast was great, with cereals, fruit, yoghurt, French toast, pancakes, lots of bread choices, an egg station, sausages and bacon, soup, a kids’ station, and an international menu that changes each day. There were also tea, coffee, and juice. We celebrated my partner’s birthday at the Beach restaurant and got to see the season’s last Tuesday fire show. It was amazing. Thanks, Arinara :)

We booked a pool-access room with a garden view at this huge hotel, but our garden was tiny and backed onto the resort wall. The private plunge pool was small, too. We also ended up with two queen beds, with one in a proper partition that was basically just a place to watch TV. Still, the facilities were great, and the beach club service was flawless, with excellent cocktails and a good happy hour. They provide beach mats, towels, bathrobes, and flip-flops, and the massive pool has direct beach access. The hotel is near the luxury Laguna area, about 20 minutes from the airport. It’s a quieter spot for rest and relaxation, while livelier parts of town with shops and restaurants, like the old town, can take up to an hour to reach. Breakfast had a wide range of good-quality ingredients. The kitchen closes at 10pm, though, so bring food if you’ll arrive late. There are two Starbucks kiosks in the hotel, but they’re hotel-owned, so you can’t pay with your membership card. I’d recommend it for families. I saw very few local guests, though maybe that was just my experience. I’d definitely come back.

The pool is large and clean, with a great pool bar, and Wut was incredibly helpful there with amazing service. Breakfast was amazing, too. The hotel has direct beach access, which is lovely. Our room had a nice balcony and a garden view, so it was peaceful. The rooms are spacious, though the beds are quite hard. We stayed here in 2025, returned this year, and have already booked again for 2027.

The staff were friendly and worked really hard at this busy resort. It’s reasonably priced and family friendly, and made a good base for exploring this part of the island since we didn’t spend much time at the hotel itself. The location is great. Our room was large but looked quite worn, and the air conditioning was noisy. The hotel was busy, with towels reserving beds early in the morning. There was some shade, but many beds had no umbrella, so there wasn’t enough cover through the day in the hot, high-UV weather. They need more umbrellas, and the hotel’s overall appearance is starting to look tired.
