Blu Monkey Hub & Hotel Bangtao Beach Phuket

We had a great stay at Blu Monkey. The location worked well, with two 7/11’s, a pharmacy, restaurants, and massage parlours nearby. Some of those only take cash. Parking is available onsite. There aren’t loads of spaces, but we always found one. The facilities include a pool, coin-operated laundry open 24/7, and a kids area, and the staff were lovely, especially Noo Na, Game, and everyone else. Our room felt much bigger than expected, with a separate kitchen and living area as well as a bedroom. The bed was comfortable, the air conditioning worked well, and they provided robes, a hair dryer, and both soft and firm pillows. A few things could be more practical: the bathroom had little counter space and nowhere much to hang a hand towel, and there weren’t many coat hangers, so hanging clothes was tricky.

The housekeeping team deserves a shout-out. The room was spotless and well kept, with fresh, high-quality linens, a very comfortable bed, and thoughtful amenities. It was quiet at night, and the attention to cleanliness really stood out. Service made the stay feel personal. Fah, Ben, Fang, Sai, Rita, and everyone else I dealt with were warm, professional, and eager to help. Check-in was easy and stress-free from the moment I arrived. I had a wonderful time at Blu Monkey and would happily stay again. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and really good service.

The rooftop pool was a highlight for me. I could unwind there with a cocktail and watch the sunset over the panoramic view. Blu Monkey Hub & Hotel Bangtao Beach is right in the centre of Bangtao, with cafes, restaurants, and bars around it, and the beach and weekend night market only a few minutes away on foot. I extended my stay because I was enjoying it so much. My room was spacious, the bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the whole hotel was spotless. The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, and everything from the design and comfort to the atmosphere and service exceeded my expectations. I’d highly recommend Blu Monkey Bangtao for a Phuket visit, and can’t wait to return.

There’s a major construction site right beside the hotel, with extremely loud noise starting early in the morning. Nothing about this was mentioned on the hotel page, in the booking confirmation, or in earlier communication. If we’d known, we wouldn’t have booked. We asked to cancel because the noise was unbearable, but staff immediately said there would be no refund. Trip.com rejected our cancellation request too. The lack of transparency and any willingness to help or be flexible was very disappointing. Guests need advance notice of disruptions that can seriously affect their stay. It was a very frustrating experience, so consider other options unless staying next to an active construction site is fine with you.
