Chill House at Naiyang

The Wi-Fi worked well, the location was okay, and I appreciated getting a refund for the three nights I had left when I checked out early. Still, this was my 14th hotel in Thailand and by far the worst experience, the only negative one. The room had a kettle and TV, but little else. There was just one large towel, no small one, and the soap dispenser was empty. The so-called king-size bed was too soft and child-sized at best. They wouldn't give us two blankets, so we had to share one. Sound carries everywhere, from the hallway and neighboring rooms, so a peaceful night's sleep was out of reach. It smelled awful, with sewage outside and strong mold and cigarette odors inside. The room hadn't been cleaned properly, and there were suspicious stains on the sheets. Staff were rude and nearly hostile, didn't answer greetings, and showed no courtesy or willingness to help. Reception was never staffed, so you had to message the manager on WhatsApp for anything, though they did reply quickly there. Even with the refund, it isn't worth it. There are much better places in the area for the same price. This one would only make sense at half that price or less.

The location was nice and the room was okay. I stayed a few nights, but there was no elevator and the reception was mostly empty. Not sure why there was no staff around.

For what they offer, it felt a bit pricey. There are higher-quality hotels across the street for just a little more. The staff were surprisingly rude.

The hotel itself was clean, but the service was poor. Nobody was at the front, and even the lobby AC was dead. I also wasn't happy with the view I got. I emailed them and never heard back. I booked through Booking.com and paid by credit card, but the hotel hadn't charged the card after all, so they charged me when I arrived. Booking.com had said the hotel hadn't responded about continuing the payment I'd made through the app.
