Lespalm Taraburi Pool Villa

We were eight people on a golfing trip, and left as soon as we walked in because the photos were nowhere close to what we found. The trouble is, they demand full payment before check-in. We’ve asked for some kind of refund, but they’re refusing to budge. Our travel agent has escalated this to the Thai tourism board. We were meant to stay from the 25th of Feb till the 1st of March. Absolute scam, stay away.

There was no water for five days out of our six-day stay. They kept saying they’d fix it, but never did, so we had to use toilets at a department store 5km away. A needle sticking out of the bed injured someone too, though that was just one of the smaller problems. Worse was what happened after we moved for the late checkout. They didn’t clean the facility, and leftover food was still in the fridge. My nephew and brother-in-law ate chocolate cake thinking it was ours, but it had Marijuana in it. We called 911, spent the night in the emergency room, missed our flight home, and had to postpone all our plans afterward. Don’t trust the photos. These are real-estate investors, not tourist service providers. They keep dangerous drugs in the fridge and throw big parties themselves, saying that’s why they can’t deal with the water problem quickly, but won’t let customers have parties at all. They knew about the water issue from the start, since they said it hadn’t been this severe before. Even when we spoke calmly and politely, they didn’t solve anything. Never stay here, especially with kids, or at places owned by Inter Property Phuket. Be careful, they present their properties as if they belong to a different company.

We booked in Aug 2024, then found out the place was under renovation and that all 22 of us couldn’t stay there when we checked in on 17 Jan 2025. They arranged a hotel for us and gave us free breakfast and a few days of transport, but we were still very disappointed to end up in a hotel instead of a villa. If they’d told us earlier, we would’ve asked for a full refund and looked for another villa.

We stayed here for three months. The food was so-so, and the pool is only 1.2 meters deep. The pool filter buzzes loudly behind the wall and disturbed our sleep. In general, it wasn’t too bad, except we were misled about the accommodation cost. The owners quote one price and ask for a deposit, then don’t return it, citing the large area and expensive electricity at 8-9 baht. Be ready for mandatory charges of 35,000-40,000 baht on top of the base price.
