The quiet beach made the stay feel peaceful, and watching planes come in to land was a fun, unusual bonus. We were there for three nights and had a lovely time. The staff were always smiling and ready to help. Food was a little tricky at first since I'm a strict vegetarian, but the chef kindly made us a special breakfast. I appreciated that, and the food was really good. A relaxing stay I'll remember.

Our room had a balcony with a pool view, and even the large window in the bathroom let us enjoy it from the bathtub. The room was clean, spacious, and had a huge bathroom with a tub. The resort itself covers a lot of ground, and it's close to Mai Khao beach, just across the road for a walk. The setting was quiet and peaceful. My experience was okay, though, rather than outstanding. We landed from New Delhi at Phuket International Airport around 9:30 pm, and our trip advisor had booked us near the airport. We arrived at Mai Khao Palm Beach Resort at about 10:30 pm, after the kitchen had closed at 10. We had to pick up something from a nearby 7-Eleven instead. Breakfast the next morning was ordinary, and I couldn't find a good dish in the pure vegetarian section. One suggestion: someone on the night shift should be able to understand English well enough to figure out what late arriving guests need. Still, it was a good experience overall, and this was my 100th Google review and my first international one.

We booked this hotel near the airport because of an early flight. After a taxi ride of around 90 minutes, we reached the property only to be told at reception that it was full and our reservation had been canceled. We'd received no call, email, or message. The booking had been confirmed and paid in full, but they had given our room away. Their proposed fix was a two-hour drive to another affiliated hotel, which made no sense with our early departure. We had to find and pay for a different hotel ourselves at the last minute, arrange another taxi, and cope with the stress, exhaustion, and lost time. Taking payment and then leaving guests without a room or advance notice is unacceptable. This shows serious mismanagement and a lack of integrity. I strongly advise against staying here, especially if you have a flight to catch. I don't trust this hotel.

A great choice around here, including if you're flying in or out, since the airport is only 20 minutes away. The rooms are large and comfortable, with a cozy bed and a lovely view from both the balcony and bathtub. The pool is outstanding and the beach is across the road. The staff go out of their way for guests. Thanks, Mr. Lucky. I tried the restaurant too, and the food was very good at fair prices.
