Modern 2-Bedroom Apartment at Cassia Phuket Apartments

It's easy to walk around here, with pedestrian paths leading toward the shops and the sea. That's a big plus in Asia. The homes are new, neat, and clean, and the location is close to both the beach and restaurants.

We stayed a few nights during our Phuket trip in a roomy two-bedroom apartment overlooking the lake behind the Residences. It had a microwave, electric stove, and washer, with large beds and plenty of space. The pool looked out over the lake and was fun to use. The rooms are comfortable for families, which makes the service problems a shame. There were ants in the living room when we arrived, and a window handle was broken. Nobody greeted us. I had to go to the nearby Cassia hotel, where they gave me a key and the manager's number. I couldn't reach the manager, so I went to the office at a nearby business center. They said the problems would be handled that day, but nothing happened until after I complained again, and then they fixed them the next day. Our room wasn't cleaned at all during the four nights. Also be aware that the Residences are in the Laguna neighborhood, where food is very expensive.

After Patong, Bang tao felt especially calm and peaceful. We had a pleasant four-night family holiday at Cassia Hotel, in the Laguna area. The rooms were clean, practical, thoughtfully laid out, and looked good too. You can walk to the main spots, use the free shuttle, and get to the beach by boat or on foot. The food was good and the pool was fine. It would have been handy to have internet and a changing cabin at the beach. The tattoo shop stayed closed for all four days we were there.

The room was clean and well cared for, and we had no trouble with bugs. Each room has its own AC, so you can adjust the temperature separately. The pool is right nearby and is nice for a splash and some sun. The hotel is in the Thalang-Laguna area on the west side of the peninsula. Getting to the other side means a 40m taxi ride, while hiking areas are about ten minutes away by car. I'd suggest renting a motorcycle if you want to get around more freely.
