Shambhala Grand Villa - Private Pool Villas by Escape Villas

Everything was great, and the room was nice, new, and clean. It was a little tight for three adults when opening our suitcases, though two adults and a child would have plenty of space. Thanks, we had a very nice stay.

We’d still recommend Shambala villas, but the kitchen needs serious attention. We paid £6600 for eight nights, and the kitchen was barely adequate. There was no dishwasher, only cold water at the sink, so we had to boil water to wash dishes. Utensils, dishes, and glasses were very limited, and there were no basics left from previous guests: no salt, pepper, oil, serviettes, foil, cling film, or kitchen towel. When we asked for a garlic press, we were told they didn’t supply one. We chose a villa this size for just the two of us partly because we like to stay in and cook sometimes. The garden villa gave us a sense of space despite having no view, and the garden was immaculate. The two bedroom and bathroom buildings were separate and identical, apart from a TV we’d never use on holiday. Housekeeping was spotless, and they honored our request for an extra mattress topper. The main building had comfy lounge sofas, a dining table for six, an extra toilet, an outdoor washing machine, and a parking space behind a closed door. The gardeners, cleaners, and concierge were all exceptional. Escape villas also arranged a slightly earlier check-in after our very early flight from Singapore. And then there was Gamm. On our last day, after eight nights in a two bed pool villa, our fully loaded hire car wouldn’t start. Gamm took charge: she called SIXT to arrange collection, then rerouted our private airport transfer to take us to chaleong pier for our speedboat to The Racha on Racha island. She truly saved the day and speaks several languages.

The villa worked really well for our group, and the location was a plus. The Shambhala Villa was well looked after by the management team. Their communication was excellent, and they responded quickly to issues. Their three person “ninja” team even came out at night to fix our Internet. This is one of the best management companies I’ve dealt with for property rentals in phuket. Highly recommend renting through them if good communication and prompt help matter to you.

The staff really made our trip, they were so sweet, professional, and attentive to every little detail. The villa itself was spotless, newly opened, and beautiful, with all the amenities thoughtfully chosen. We had an amazing stay.
