Phant at Thalang Service Apartment

There’s no elevator in this three-storey hotel, but the staff were very willing to carry our bags upstairs. They left two bottles of water outside our room each day. Cleaning is by request, so hang the sign on the door if you want the room serviced; otherwise, they won’t interrupt your stay. You can also ask for extra amenities shown in the attached photos. It’s a small place not far from the airport. I think it’s a budget-friendly hotel with a standard offering, and the service was good for the price during our four nights there.

The rooms and bathrooms were clean and looked almost new, and the price felt very fair for what we got. There’s a shared kitchen guests can use, plus a fridge in the room. The AC worked like new, sometimes cooling things a bit too much. With a motorbike or car, the beach is reachable in about 15 minutes.

We were able to leave our bags there until our flight even after checking out, and room service is available if you want it. Outside, the area is easy to walk around, with a few restaurants, stalls, and a market. The 7/11 is about a 10-minute walk, with helpful staff. Our bags were carried upstairs, and the room had a fridge, WiFi (which they showed us), AC, nice pillows, water, a balcony, and a charger by the bedside. There’s plenty of space on the bedside table too. Some upkeep and lighting could be better. There’s no elevator, the windows weren’t clean, and the bed was hard. I struggled to curl my hair because there wasn’t a power socket by any mirror. After dark, the lighting made makeup difficult, and a white light would help. There’s also a dog that stays outside and barked at us.

It’s about a five-minute walk to the shops, with restaurants just across the road and the nearest bar roughly three minutes away on foot. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the room was very clean and tidy. I’ll stay here again.
