Sansuri Resort Phuket

Cafés and shops are close by, and I felt great staying here on my own. The room was clean and felt safe, and the staff were very caring. I also found eDrive Rental, booked online in two minutes, and they delivered a brand-new scooter for free within 15 minutes. Ideal for a solo traveler.

We came home to find that an iPhone and cash had disappeared while housekeeping was in the apartment without us there. Someone had gone through our suitcases, looking for valuables, and opened every envelope in our luggage. Such a nightmare.

The unit is a decent size, and there’s a beach view from the balcony. 5C also has fly screens on all the doors and windows. I rented unit 5C for six months, though it’s hugely overpriced for what it is, like everything else in Phuket. Everything inside is old: the beds are terrible, the couch is unusable, and the showers swing between too hot and too cold. Some floor tiles are loose and squeak when you walk on them. The drawers and cupboards smell of mould, the washing machine is on its last legs, and the aircon units are noisy. There are two massive construction sites right in front, so there’s no peace except on Sundays. You can hear the two nearby mosques from 5:30am. The location is okay, but a bit too far from the beach for my liking.

The breakfast was lovely, and the rooms looked stunning. Everything was so clean and well kept when we visited three years ago. The staff were lovely too and always ready to help. We’ll never forget Bee, she was fabulous. We’ll definitely be back!
