Good value, and the room was clean and comfortable. The Wi-Fi kept cutting in and out from the room.

The kind and considerate family who run this place were what stood out most. They couldn't rent us two bikes, so they let us use their scooter for free, then drove us to the bus station when we left. This boutique-style hotel is one of Thailand's best values, with immaculate rooms, great air conditioning and shower, a fridge, and a TV with local Thai stations. There aren't many electrical outlets, but enough to manage. There's also a self-service coin washer and dryer, an upstairs area looking over the hills, and a back porch overlooking a creek. A microwave sits in the common area with free instant noodle soup, coffee, and tea. The town is a little off the beaten path, but worth spending a few days in for the central market, a nearby national park with a waterfall, easygoing people who aren't constantly bothered by hordes of tourists, and some short, nice hikes around town and behind the hotel where you're likely to be alone.

The bathroom was awkward for me at 190 cm tall. I bumped my head on the door and on the fixed shower fixture. Still, I liked this family-owned little hotel, with its parking and great outdoor area for having a beer while working on my laptop in the evening. It's a perfect stop if you need to stay in the area, and I'd stay again if I'm back.

A nice, subtle artistic touch, and the air conditioning worked great. After a hot day cycling, the warm water was welcome. There's an outdoor hand-washing and drying area, plus a small fridge with a basic freezer. The room is on the ground floor, close to the bikes, or you can put them in the secure apartment laundry room. The usual TV and satellite setup is there, but no English channels.
