It’s a quiet, rural area, with very few restaurants nearby, so if you’re catching an early ferry, I’d only arrive in the evening. The peaceful setting does have its charm. The hotel is basic, but the staff make the stay pleasant: they’re warm, polite, attentive, and always greet you with a smile. When Bolt couldn’t find me a taxi, they quickly arranged a ride, which I really appreciated.

The owner was very helpful sorting out our boat ticket, and I’d give the service three stars for that. We booked because we needed to be near the boat shuttle to Ko Kut / Koh Kood Island the next morning. The photographer deserves five stars, though. The price was steep for what we got, and they require cash. The nearest ATM is about 30 minutes away by car. If I needed to stay in this area again, I’d book in Trat city and find a taxi to the boat instead. The pool was nice according to our kids, although it was the first pool I’ve seen surrounded by artificial turf. Breakfast was remarkable in its own way: a sort of western-style meal, as they seemed to see it, served to the Asian tourists too, and they actually ate it. The rooms were basically run-down containers. The sheets were torn, though they at least looked washed. There were plenty of insects in our room, and we’d rather not think about what was crawling on us overnight. The toilet was completely yellowed, and the bathroom panels were falling apart, making the shower look unusable. This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed in. Even if it were the last hotel on earth, we’d rather sleep on the street.

The breakfast was great, and the grounds are green and well kept. The rooms are simple, but the air conditioner worked properly, with hot water and normal pressure in the bathroom. The towels and sheets weren’t new, but they were clean. I feel like people leaving negative reviews may have stayed only in 5++ hotels before. This place is just fine!

Getting to the ferry was badly organized, and our transport was almost 30 minutes late. If you want an easy place to stay before a morning ferry, keep looking. The place has potential, but it’s very run-down and really dirty. It looked like the rooms hadn’t been cleaned in ages, and the linen was stained and dirty, though the room was comfortable enough. Getting a reply by email or reaching anyone at all seemed nearly impossible. The food was okay, but they don’t cater for vegetarians. Breakfast was literally a pile of raw cabbage 😅.
