Chivapuri Beach Resort Koh Chang

The hotel sits right at the end of the beach, so the rooms have plenty of privacy and are directly by the water. The family rooms are amazing, and the atmosphere feels better than a five-star rating. We loved the clean, quiet pool overlooking the beach and the breakfast buffet right beside it. There was also a fire show every few days, which was amazing. Pure paradise!

The restaurant staff were kind and helpful, and my child enjoyed the zipline by the beach, though I thought it was too dangerous for an adult. The rest was disappointing. The hotel is a long way down an off-road route, and despite booking a 64sqm room, I was given one that seemed closer to 32sqm. When we asked reception, she blamed the hotel's sales team for the website listing and didn't seem to take responsibility for the inconvenience. The room was very old, there was a bug inside, and the price felt much too high for the level of service.

We had only planned a couple of nights on the island, but after seeing how beautiful it was, we decided to stay longer. While exploring near Bang bao pier and walking along the beach, we came across Chivapuri and asked about rooms. They had a Junior suite, so we booked two nights and ended up adding another. The staff were amazing, and the restaurant was fantastic. During our stay there was a BBQ evening with traditional Thai dancers and incredible fire dancers on the beach. This is exactly the kind of perfect beach resort you imagine, and we can't wait to return 💕🌞

Getting here isn't that easy, but that's part of going somewhere secluded. Check-in was friendly and efficient, the service felt professional and very good, and the rooms were clean, though there are a few things that could be improved. Without your own vehicle, it's quite far to get to the living world. If that doesn't bother you, just book.
