Centara Ubon

Rooms are clean, the staff are friendly, and the location right beside the mall is excellent. I’d say this is one of the best places to stay in Ubon, though the service is only passable overall. Room service is ridiculously slow. Both the dinner and the lunch we ordered took 1.5 hours. Dinner arrived cold, as if it had been cooked and then left waiting, and the lunch wasn’t warm enough either. They really need to sort out room service.

The team went out of their way to help with our requests, and the view over the city at night was lovely. The rooms are modern and well equipped too. A wonderful stay, and I’ll definitely come back next time I’m in the area.

The lobby restaurant served good food, but paying was awkward and felt very outdated. You have to pay for drinks and meals at separate counters, which slows everything down. Since the hotel is beside Central Ubon, there are plenty of other places to eat nearby. I stayed one night in a sixth-floor suite. It was comfortable, with a proper sitting area, a spacious bathroom with a modern shower, toilet and bath, and a good bedroom. The view looked out over the shopping mall’s car park, so it wasn’t very good. Staff were welcoming and kind, and check-in was easy since I’d paid online. Arriving and using the disabled parking was frustrating because the hotel van was given priority over arriving guests.

The room was clean and cozy, and nicer than I expected for the price. Great value and excellent service. The location is really convenient, and the staff were so welcoming, always smiling and ready to help with whatever I needed. I had an amazing stay and will definitely come back next time!
