The owner was rude, there was no security or facilities, and the price was too high.

The location is remote enough that getting around means taking a taxi or motorcycle. Some rooms are new and fairly good, but there are many more downsides than positives here. The resort feels overpriced, with hidden charges, and the food costs more than twice as much as nearby options. Its shop also charges far more for water, snacks, and alcohol, sometimes five times what other resorts charge. The pool is old and dirty, and the area around it is in poor shape. I found the owner rude and disrespectful to guests, and was disgusted by his disrespectful comments about Thai people and their culture. Check Trip advisor and other sites for many more negative reviews. There are other resorts nearby that are better and more reasonably priced.

The Mini Golf Resort feels like a quiet little oasis in Ubon, yet it's close to the Central shopping mall. Its bungalows are clean and nicely decorated, though not fancy. There's a roomy garden where you can relax under the trees, play minigolf, or swim in the fresh deep pool, which has just reopened. Vincent and his wife are lovely hosts. He trained in European 5star hotels and can serve French cuisine on his veranda, with a stunning view over the river Mun. I often come with my kids, and sometimes on my own, for a peaceful break away from the beaten paths and my demanding business in Bangkok. There are several daily flights to Ubon from Don Mueang and Suvannaphum (TG). I prefer the Special Express train, in a 1st class sleeper, to the station in Warin, which is a sight in itself.

The rooms were comfortable enough for sleeping, though I remember seeing a few cockroaches around. Several parts of the resort didn't match the photos online, and the facilities looked run down and in need of restoration. The location was inconvenient, too. The food was mediocre at best and expensive. The owner was the rudest, most arrogant person I've ever met. I wouldn't recommend staying here, since there are many better resorts in the area.
