The hostel is on a quiet road, just a few hundred meters from a busy night market, and there's roadside parking in front. My private-bath room was clean, and the pillow and mattress were somewhat comfortable. I also noticed lots of shared bathrooms for guests in the dormitory.

We chose a private room, and it was very good value compared with other places we've stayed. It had some cool design touches, and the hostel felt peaceful inside. It's in a quiet area but close enough to the station to walk with bags, so no tuk-tuk needed. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We had several questions about the region beyond our stay, and they went out of their way to find answers.

I booked directly at the property. This is the best maintained hostel I've stayed in, after traveling to 55 countries. It feels as luxurious and clean as a hotel, while still being a place to meet travelers from around the world. The staff were friendly and very helpful, which made my stay even better. Highly suggest La Malila Hostel.

I stayed two nights in room 303. The hostel was clean, comfortable, and beautiful, and the staff were friendly. It's near the train night market. The only downside was poor Wi-Fi in the room.
