The beds were comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. But the property is old and under renovation, with poor maintenance and many facilities unavailable. There was no evening food available, and breakfast was basic. Given the renovation work, I don’t think the full price is justified.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and helped us a lot. The bungalows were clean, nice and air-conditioned. There’s a pool, and you can borrow bicycles for free. It’s a little outside the town centre, which makes it quiet, but still close enough for a relaxed walk. We also came across local festivals in town with actors dressed as dragons, and a real local market that wasn’t aimed at tourists. My favorite experience was cycling to Wat Tha Sung. Riding along the beautiful countryside felt like pure freedom. People waved, honked and smiled as we passed.

The resort is old, but we stayed in the floating room over SaGaeGrang river (Sakae Krang River), and loved it. It has been well maintained for more than 100 years. The location is the best thing about the resort, and breakfast was reasonable for the price.

It’s an old, gloomy resort in a good spot in Uthai town. Nights can be noisy, since you can hear other guests talking even with your room door and windows closed.

The bungalow felt like a 400 baht place, but they charged 1000 baht, and it sat amid a pile of rubbish. They had nicer bungalows, but didn’t offer them to me. I can only imagine what those would cost.
